Mission Statement
The Marcus Center for the Performing Arts serves children ages 2 to 17 by fostering cultural awareness and a deep appreciation for the performing arts. Through opportunities for creative self-expression, children develop oral communication skills, confidence, and the ability to share their unique voices through performance.
Through theatre, dance, and music, students build friendships, learn collaboration, and work together toward shared artistic creations. The Center’s programs use dance, voice, and drama as catalysts for strengthening communication, social-emotional growth, problem-solving, and cooperative learning—skills that extend far beyond the stage and support children in all aspects of their lives.
