Fall and Spring Program

The Theater Program fosters significant cognitive development, including the ability to engage in pretend play, understand basic concepts like opposites and time, sort objects by color and shape, identify body parts, follow simple instructions, and begin to grasp the concept of self; Toddlers also start to use more complex language and imitate adult actions. Children learn basic fundamental drama techniques through classic children’s literature. Children will have opportunity to role play character parts while they enjoy storytelling and develop social interaction and problem-solving skills that are so necessary for the healthy development of very young children.

The Preschool Theater Program provides young children the opportunity to learn snips from popular movies This process fosters language, physical and social emotional development of early learners. Children will learn basic drama techniques, role play character part sand develop the social interaction and problem-solving skills preschool children require in order to enter their early childhood years.

The Early Childhood Theater Program provides young school age children the opportunity to learn snippets from popular musical fantasy productions. This process fosters self-esteem, self-confidence and cooperative learning.

The Adolescent Theater Program provides pre-teens with the opportunity to develop Interdisciplinary learning skills by participating in skits from popular musicals. This process fosters teamwork, communication, and critical thinking. It continues develop their self-awareness, values, and challenge their self-confidence.

The Teen-age Theater Program provides teens with the opportunity to develop relationship building skills by fostering decision-making skills to problem
solve. Teens develop active listening skills to develop a sense empathy for others. Teens learn stress reduction strategies to control their emotions remain
composed, present, and self-believing. Additionally, teens learn conflict resolution skills as they develop confidence, assertiveness, and are willing to
compromise.
